Bellsouth.net email issue – Microsoft Q&A

For some reason Outlook will no longer connect to server for Bellsouth.net. I delete my email account so that I could add it back in thinking that may help but now I am no even able to add bellsouth.net email account to outlook. I tried the auto set up, manual set up for both POP and IMAP and all of them come with the following message " We couldn’t log on to the incoming (IMAP) server. Please check your email address and password and try again"

My email and password are correct as I was able to connect to windows Mail app on my laptop with it, I have gone online and log into me email address, but for some reason outlook doesn’t recognize it any more. Please advise!

Note: I am able to set up new email accounts on my outlook for hotmail, gmail, and att but not bellsouth. It is an issue with bellsouth.net email address. As well, when I go to manage profiles and try to add email there, it gives me the following two errors.

   " Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)."    "Send test email message: None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server."
